Born and raised in Selma, Alabama, Ali Nettles is a Washington, DC-based yoga instructor with a passion for movement, mindfulness, and the great outdoors.
Ali discovered yoga in 2021 as a way to stay grounded in the work-hard, play-hard culture of DC. What began as a personal wellness practice quickly grew into a deeper journey, leading her to yoga teacher training and diving headfirst into sharing the benefits of yoga with others.
In her classes, Ali encourages authenticity and provides a “no judgment” space that allows students to let go and take flight.

Meghan is an art director who brings a wealth of creativity and expertise to her work, while also dedicating her free time to painting. She earned her degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design from Flagler University in 2020, where she honed her skills in both traditional and digital mediums.
With a passion for teaching, Meghan has led multiple art courses, inspiring students to express themselves through their creativity. She particularly enjoys the exploration of architectural interiors and exteriors, where they can discover the intricate relationships between structure and environment. Meghan’s artwork often focuses on the interplay of light and reflection, allowing her to capture the subtle anomalies that transform a scene.
When she’s not in the studio or the classroom, you can find Meghan immersed in nature, seeking inspiration from the world around her. Her commitment to both her professional and artistic endeavors fuels her desire to help others find their unique voice in art.

Thirty years ago, Yael came to yoga to manage persistent back pain and soften the edges around her work of community-based social change. At the same time, she delved into writing, playing with prose and poetry, which encouraged her to exteriorize and accept the legacy of being a child of Holocaust survivors. Yoga helped her get out of her head and inhabit her body; writing taught her to draw the words out and distill them on paper, rather than tensing muscles and mind. She works with others going through life portals as they locate resilient and regenerative strategies and practices along the path.

“Why should we all use our creative power? Because there is nothing that makes people so generous, joyful, lively, bold and compassionate, so indifferent to fighting and the accumulation of objects and money.”
— Brenda Ueland
